It is mainly found in the young stems and leaves of Ampelopsis Grossedentata, a plant in the grape family, with a content of over 30% of dry weight.[4] Its molecular structure contains 5 phenolic hydroxyl groups, endowing it with strong antioxidant properties. 3. Product efficacy and mechanism of action
3.1 Antioxidant effect
Mechanism: Clears superoxide radicals (O ₂⁻), hydroxyl radicals (· OH), and lipid peroxidation radicals (ROO ·), and inhibits lipid peroxidation.[1]
Data: The DPPH radical scavenging rate IC ₅₀=4.2 μ g/mL is superior to vitamin C (IC ₅₀=5.8 μ g/mL) [107]. Quantum chemistry calculations confirm
that its phenolic hydroxyl group neutralizes free radicals through hydrogen transfer.[1]
3.2 Liver protection and sobering effect
Mechanism: Activate the Nrf2 pathway, increase reduced glutathione (GSH) levels, and reduce malondialdehyde (MDA) content. Inhibit hepatic steatosis induced by ethanol metabolite acetaldehyde.
Data: The mouse model (50mg/kg DMY) showed a 40% reduction in liver injury and a 35% decrease in MDA.[2] Preclinical studies have shown that sobering up time is reduced by 50%.
3.3 Hypoglycemic effect
Mechanism: Inhibits alpha-glucosidase activity (IC₅₀=18.7 μg/mL) and delays glucose absorption. Regulating the PI3K/Akt pathway to enhance insulin sensitivity.[3]
