SCO Health Ministers Meeting Held in Xi'an
This year marks the "Year of Sustainable Development" for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), highlighting the significance of health and healthcare issues. On 28 April, at the Eighth Meeting of Health Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Member States held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on four core themes: emergency medicine, primary healthcare, digital health, and traditional medicine. They signed the Minutes of the Eighth Meeting of Health Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Member States, charting the course for friendly exchanges and practical cooperation in the health sector across the SCO region.
High-Quality Integration of TCM into the Belt and Road and the Role of the Eurasian Economic Forum
Promoting the high-quality integration of traditional Chinese medicine into the Belt and Road Initiative has become a key component in advancing the Healthy Silk Road and a vital vehicle for building a community of health for all mankind. 2025 Eurasian Economic Forum Conference on TCM Exchange and Cooperation Successfully Held
The 2025 Eurasian Economic Forum Conference on TCM Exchange and Cooperation was successfully held in Xi'an on 23rd September. Centred on the theme "Promoting the Silk Road Spirit, Building a New Framework for TCM Development", the conference featured an opening ceremony, academic exchanges on Chinese medicine, cultural dissemination activities, and experiential visits. Participants reached multiple cooperation agreements in areas including TCM medical techniques, scientific research and education, and talent cultivation. The Xi'an Municipal Health Commission and several Xi'an hospitals signed memoranda of exchange and cooperation with the Eurasian Paediatricians' Union and relevant institutions and enterprises from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries. They will jointly promote the establishment of overseas TCM diagnostic and treatment centres, talent training bases, and joint laboratories, working together to advance the modernisation and internationalisation of traditional medicine and foster the building of a community of health for all mankind.
